DESCRIPTION
Yakka Parsan is a classical example of Khorezm fortress architecture and one of the unique historical monuments dating back to the Afrigid period. The site is included in the national register of tangible cultural heritage.
Key features:
- massive defensive walls with heat-retaining structural properties;
- natural ventilation system based on internal courtyards;
- compact and rational spatial planning;
- harmony between historical heritage and contemporary architecture.
The fortress served as the primary source of inspiration for our cultural complex project. The characteristic defensive walls of ancient Khorezm, the natural microclimate shaped by internal courtyards, and the principles of compact planning were reinterpreted and integrated into a modern architectural solution.The project was developed within the framework of international architectural collaboration with Frank Architects.
